Our Story

Started with a question most people ask

"Why is it so hard to buy property in Ghana?" That was the question our founder, Marc Williams, kept hearing from friends and family living abroad. They wanted to invest back home, build something for their families, or simply own a piece of the country they loved — but the process was opaque, risky, and exhausting.

In 2019, Marc assembled a small team of real estate professionals, legal advisors, and technologists in Accra. Their mission: strip away the complexity and create a transparent, end-to-end property investment experience that anyone could trust — whether they lived in London, Toronto, or right down the road in Kumasi. Every property is verified through the Ghana Lands Commission, every payment goes through regulated escrow, and every client gets independent legal counsel.

Today, Toivo Investment has helped investors across 7+ countries secure property in Ghana. We handle everything from Lands Commission title verification and legal documentation to construction oversight and property management — so our clients can invest with confidence from anywhere in the world. We're registered with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and work exclusively with licensed law firms for all conveyancing.

2019

The beginning

Toivo Investment founded in Accra with a team of 3. Completed our first verified property transaction — a 3-bedroom home in East Legon for a diaspora client based in London.

2020

Surviving and growing

Despite COVID-19, we moved our entire client experience online. Virtual property tours, digital documentation, and video conferencing with legal teams became our standard — proving that remote property investment works.

2022

Scaling up

Expanded operations to Eastern and the Volta Region. Launched our property management division to handle tenant sourcing and rental income management for overseas investors.
